Aliens Stole My Body
Aliens Stole My Body concludes the four-book series. After the departure of Selima Khan, the group characters from The Search for Snout splits up into three groups, Rod and Seymour head for the planet Kryndamar, along with Snout, Elspeth, and Madam Pong (the Diplomatic Officer of the Ferkel). Meanwhile, Grakker and Phil (the sentient plant who serves as the Ferkel's science officer) leave to re-establish contact with the Galactic Patrol, and Ah-Rit heads off with Tar Gibbons in an attempt to reclaim Rod's body from BKR.
With all his enemies in one place, BKR delivers an ultimatum: reveal where they've hidden Rod's mind, or die. Rod tells Snout to send him back to his own body. Using the skills that he's learned from both Tar Gibbons and Snout, Rod is able to take out all of BKR's crew, and finally BKR himself.
Parents need to know that Aliens Stole My Body is the follow-up to Aliens Ate My Homework; both movies are based on author Bruce Coville's successful series Rod Allbright and the Galactic Patrol. It will appeal most to viewers familiar with the previous movie and/or books and to young fans of undemanding sci-fi and space fiction. Expect campy effects, punny humor, and fairly gentle scares, as well as kids saving the day using bravery, science, and innovation. But there is sci-fi violence: Aliens fight one another and shoot space weapons. The villain threatens the lives of both aliens and humans, pushes them through a black hole, shoots at them, kidnaps them, and puts them to sleep temporarily. The young heroes are hooked up to a teleportation machine that they're told could kill them. They outrun a giant ball in an outdoor tunnel, and then one disappears into another dimension. A family faces potential disaster on a spaceship. A married couple kisses after a five-year separation. Language is limited to "bullocks" and "boogers," and there's a toast with champagne glasses.
In ALIENS STOLE MY BODY, three kids enlist a spaceship crew of aliens to help them find a missing dad. Art Allbright (Sandy Robson), a father of three, has been missing for five years when his older son, Rod (Jayden Greig); niece Elspeth (Lauren McNamara); and their friend Mickey (Sean Quan) set out to discover his whereabouts. Enlisting the help of Principal (played by Bruce Coville, author of the book series the movie is based on) and his alien crew, the kids discover that Allbright has been frozen in a moment of time by galactic bad guy B'kr (Ty Consiglio). They'll try anything -- including temporarily shifting Rod's brain into Elspeth's body -- to save Art, putting their lives in danger along the way.
BRING BACK ROD'S BODY! Rod Allbright has found his father -- but lost his own body! It's been stolen by BKR, the most fiendish villain in the galaxy, which leaves Rod sharing the body of a one-eyed, blue alien named Seymour. Alas, when it comes time to go after BKR, Rod is forced to stay behind so that the little villain won't be able to get at the world-destroying secret locked in Rod's brain. Stranded on an alien planet with only Madame Pong, Seymour, Snout, and his annoying cousin Elspeth for company, Rod fumes at being left behind. Little does he know he's about to be drawn into a web of alien plots that will test his courage to the utmost -- and ultimately bring him face-to-face with BKR.
